Lead Preschool Teacher

The Robert J. Wilf Preschool and Kindergarten at the Kaiserman JCC in Wynnewood is currently seeking a qualified professional Lead Teacher dedicated to a career in Early Childhood Education to join our team.
We offer a nurturing, child-centered environment. Infants through accredited Kindergarten classes are complemented by gym & music class, Israeli dance, Hebrew lessons, weekly Shabbat celebration and more. The teaching staff honors the uniqueness of each child, celebrating individual potential, and helping children question and discover. Our emergent curriculum permits learning activities that arise from each child's interests, encouraging feelings of security and confidence in an age-appropriate atmosphere where each child feels free to explore, play, observe, question and make discoveries. Jewish heritage, values and traditions are celebrated, instilling a positive identity in each child.
Responsibilities Include:
Plan and implement the daily program of activities based on principles of child development and in accordance with the program's curriculum and state standards.
Review the progress of each child and develop written plans to promote each child's growth and development.
Maintain a well-organized, safe and attractive classroom environment conducive to the optimal growth and development of children.
Develop a positive relationship with each child and promote the development of self-esteem and self-discipline.
Observe each child daily to assess skills, interests, and needs and use this information to facilitate learning and growth.
Establish a positive relationship with each child's family and share information about the child's day.
Participate in staff meetings, center activities, and staff development.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field.
Current Early Childhood / Elementary Teaching Certificate.
Experience in and/or knowledge of emergent curriculum and developmentally appropriate practice.
Candidates will be emotionally responsive in their work with children, and wish to be part of a larger community that enriches children's lives by co-constructing meaningful learning experiences.
Must have effective and strong communication skills (orally and written).
At least 2 years' experience working with preschool age children

The Kaiserman JCC, located in suburban Philadelphia, enjoys a rich and diverse membership. From our youngest participants in our certified infant-toddler program to our 90+ year old fitness class regulars, the JCC offers programs and activities that are rooted in Jewish values and embrace our identity and connections to Israel.
Our membership comes primarily from the Main Line, Havertown and the Overbrook section of Philadelphia. Over 900 people per week enjoy the benefits of our region's only JCC.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
